Action is now being implemented as a result of the Clearwater City Commission adopting an ordinance banning "short term " rentals within the region.
Despite the fact that it is nearly 1 year since Clearwater City adopted a ban on short term rentals within their region, no fines have been issued........ However this is now about to change.
We understand that citations are about to be issued from the City attorneys to people who bought short term rental properties after April 2003, while those who bought beforehand are being excluded pending the outcome of a lawsuit which is currently being brought against the City.
